Okay - I couldn't copy an image of the doodle I did, and it was a hot mess anyhoo, but it's kind of fun to play with the virtual Spirograph over here.
My Spirograph drawings when I was a kid were always pretty terrible, actually. I'd be grooving along, rolling the little gears along their paths, and I'd get so intense and spazzy that force of my pen would flip the gear out of the framework and scuff up my tender little paws with its hard plastic teeth. This resulted in the line of ink breaking from its regimented path and cutting out across all the other carefully furrowed lines to head for the barn or greener pastures, or some such, generally mucking up the whole drawing. Crud.
It was kind of a love-hate thing, me and Spirograph, really. This way is more fun. Less painful.
When I die, I think I'll be cremated and have my ashes put into an Etch-a-Sketch so Katy can still play with her Daddy. ;)
Thanks for playtime, I just had so much fun :)
I like this one too...virtual spin art!
ambulance driver - some people might say that's kind of sick, but I think it's rather sweet. :P
lainy - yeah, it IS fun, innit?
breda - wow! I think I like the paint spinner even better! Nifty!
Sure, you artistically talented types would prefer the paint spinner over the mathematical precision of the spirograph. Guys like me were happy to make Lissajous curves with two oscillators and an oscilloscope just because you couldn't get it "wrong."
Thanks for that. Just what I need, another time waster LOL. And if you are using XP just press the Prt Sc key to put your screen on the clipboard. Then open a graphics program. Windows Paint if nothing else, click Edit>Paste and there you have it. Crop as you like and then save it.
It's a lot easier in Vista. Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>Snip and use the cursor to select the area to capture, click enter and save it.
And there are a number of free screenshot programs on download.com.
Now, go back, draw a pretty, make a screen shot and show us LOL.
Mine turned out rather ugly, but twas fun. I love bubble wrap of any kind.
