Oh, what a pile of yummy stuff I have for the charity shop. Seems like I'm getting rid of more than I'm keeping. Probably a good thing.
For the record, Gogol Bordello is the best housecleaning music. At their show in Dallas two weeks ago, I actually got quite close to the stage with friends, but, alas, by that time, they'd already done this screamy song, so I didn't get a crack at it. Maybe next time. One of the backup singers is the girlfriend of Elijah Wood, and from the left side of the audience you could see him standing backstage. I know- Dallas' brush with fame, eh? Anyway, it was a great show.
The relentless energy of this music sets a good clip for cleaning. I should listen to it more often, clearly...
Best be careful about doing too much of it - or you will end up with a house that looks as sterile as a bioweapons laboratory :)
It couldn't possbily look sterile - my fecund self will still be there, right?
Gogol played at the venue I ran twice...a nice bunch of chaps but the audience(in England anyway)...aged hippies, crusties and wannabe hipsters...urgh!...am I right that you are none of the sfore mentioned?
thud - I should certainly hope I don't fall into those categories. I have to say the GB crowd in Dallas has consistently been the sexiest crowd I've ever seen at a concert. Very bizarre cross-section of society with a common thread of hep-ness and wild as can be. Went to their first show in Dallas about 6 years ago, and have been two their 2 most recent shows.
Almost makes me want to haul out the vacuum cleaner! But only if I could borrow Eugene's outfit.
Psychotically awesome. Love the fiddle.
