Odd dead animal event of the workday on Wednesday: Found a small dead goldfish in the parking lot. I've puzzled and puzzled over this, and finally concluded that maybe a bird caught the fish in a koi pond or container watergarden of a nearby condo and dropped it, or maybe a cat caught it but lost interest when the little thing died.

In any case, I'm hoping this and the previous odd occurrence are merely bookends, and not the first two in a serial case of dead fish events on property. January - what an odd month. It's over.

Great moment on this week's episode of House. He's examining an overly-fastitidious Dapper-Dan type who obviously disdains House's untidy appearance. As he looks up the guy's nose with the nose-looker-upper-thingie, House asks DD if he uses toenail clippers to trim his nosehairs. DD's making smarmy remarks that House's lack of care with his appearance makes him wonder if House is lacking care in his professional endeavors.
House interrupts this acrimonious discourse with his deadpan delivery of the following:
I'm wearing a rumpled shirt and forgot to brush my hair this week.
You've got athlete's foot in your nose. I'm ready to be judged.

I LOVE that show!

Hugh's delivery of the writing staff's most excellent dialog is superb! I just wish the actors playing his "students" could approach his level. Now Sela Ward...she could hold her own with Davis, Crawford AND Hepburn.
And that IS just creepy about the fish. Are there sushi places nearby?

I need to start watching house.

That's a great line.

I'm kinda like one of the columnists for TV Guide. Will those 3 ever get a diagnosis completely correct on their own? What would have happened if House had gone to jail? Would they have had to shut down the hospital?

As for the fish, I've seen flying fish. But that was out in the middle of th e Pacific and not in Dallas County, America.

Yep, you do need to start watching...a great show...probably the best doctor show ever.

I cannot afford to get addicted to another show - I wish you hadn't shared that with me.

I've caught a few snippits here and there. I'll get into it when they start showing the reruns in the wee hours. Can't deal with him doing the American accent, though he does a great job.
