That is such an excellent example of the camouflage used by dachsunds in their native habitat. In the past, great packs of these hearty hunters hid among sofas in wait of their usual prey: buttermilk bisquits. Unknowingly, a bisquit would wander into range, never realizing the danger lurking only inches away. As quick as lightning, the pack would spring and have the meal that would allow them to survive another day.
