I've been thinking about doing a new feature style post here. [Politely fail to remind me that I never did a second installment of Ugly Furniture Sundays]

I'm a savvy shopper, and I want to use my retail gifts to help others, and so without further ado I present

SHOPPING FOR OTHERS

Today's beneficiary will be a double-barreled wallop of goodness in the form of Tam and Roberta X, so long as they wear the same shoe size and are willing to split the $1795 price tag (plus tax).

I saw these Ann Demeulemeester Triple Lace-Up Flat Tall Boots and thought STEAM PUNK. Yeah. Good stuff. Finally, footwear with the stones to match Miss Tam's arsenal.
If yer on my blogroll, keep your eyes peeled, because sooner or later, your number will be up and I'll be advising you of a product which you must simply grab your bonnet and run out and purchase forthwith. It'll be good. It'll be sexy, gorgeous and will change your life forevermore.
SRSLY.

Aha!

I love 'em, Tam's a bit less enthused. And our shoe sizes are such that if it fits her and laces up, it can be made to fit me -- we're usually a half-size apart.

Very kewl shoes!

ooooh. Those are cooool. (and they would look great on both Tam and RX, what with their long legs and all.) Fabulous.

Should have had a lace seam across the toe...then they could grow with you!

For future reference, I should warn you: I wear New Balance sneakers in summer and Frye boots in winter. Nothing else. Well, except for New Balance velcro-close snow boots.

Just so you know.

turk - indeedy!

roberta - Glad YOU like 'em. I did think it was a gamble for Tam, but thot the trip to the checkout counter would be slightly less painful when borne by two. I did mentioning YOU have to pay for these, right? I mean, here I've done all the hard labor, slaving countless hours over a hot catalog screen. Yeah, boots like this look amazing on tall women. Yeah, just a little bit of envy mode going on, there.

breda - wait'll you see what I've picked for you. hint: it'll involve buying a new spare leg!

mushy - ah, for when one gets long in the toe?

What's wrong with a good old fashioned pair of vintage black combat boots, spit-shined? Ahhh, the memories...

Oh gawd, I LURVS shoes, especially boots!!! This time of year is sheer torture for me because of all the new winter footwear. See, I've been trying to cure my shoe addiction because of severe lack of space; I've actually cut it in half and gave a lot of shoes away... but I never can resist a pair of gorgeous boots. I'm gonna love checking back here looking for more beauties like that, Phlegmy!!!

I'm bettin' later rather than sooner where I'm concerned, perhaps even dead last. Especially where shoes are the subject. About which... is the shopping advice limited solely to shoes? Cigars might be good... ;-)

Further on shoes: I'm sorta like Mark, except it's Topsiders and Tony Lamas, the latter worn only when on the mo'sickle. Shoes (ain't) Us.

Actually those boots make me think of the "Hellraiser" movies. Didn't pinhead wear something like that in the original movie back in 1987?

Careful. You might wake him and then the suffering will begin.
