Seeing as it's been at least 5 minutes since I said so, this Neko Case cd [Fox Confessor Brings the Flood] is so fan-flipping-tastic I have to rave some more. (On sale right now for $10 at Amazon - click over here to give it a listen)

The album laments hit song truism royale:

"That echo chorus lied to me with its
'hold on, hold on, hold on hold on'"

No illusions to hold on to here, just a rawly hypnotic spoonful of heavenly sweet medicine.

Neko Case: coming soon to a town near you. Don't miss her!

Not bad at all!

I'll believe it when I see it. She's stiffed us twice already this year, so we'll see if she shows up when the New Pornos play here in a couple of weeks. Here's hoping anyway!

We love Neko Case. Love her. As far as I'm concerned, Fox Confessor... is the best album of the year. And her last two shows in Austin have been absolutely wonderful.

mushy - she totally rocks!

barbara - sorry y'all have been stiffed. At least someone cool down south sent you some buttons. I know, small comfort.

jamie - Yeah, she's SO underrated. I agree - Fox Confessor is going to be in permanent rotation for the rest of my life. Her April show in Austin was the night after the Dallas show and I ALMOST drove down to see it, but I was just too exhausted. It would have to be enough that I got to see her here.
