Oh, in a weird coincidence...on Wednesday, when I got my hair done, I turned to Silver in the car and said, "You know what? This is Bettie Page hair!" And she even knew who I was talking about! Weird, and sad.
I always wondered how you were supposed to wear hose like that :) And the shoes? Beautiful to look at, lousy to walk in. Then again, the point of the film was not to sell the shoes, right? hee hee

Thanks for this, Phlegmmy. I shamelessly stole it.
Those shoes weren't made for walkin...
Buck - yer welcome. Sad Bettie died, but I'm sure glad she came to the party!
steff66- brilliantly stated. Some are for walking, some are for fun.
Might have something to do with the fact that they look like they are way too big. I am however inspired...I feel a shoe post coming on.
Bettie Page: Sexier putting clothes on, than most women are taking them off.
Vinogirl - I wore my 6" platforms yesterday and stood in them for hours and hours. Solidarity!
Joe Allen - there's a lesson in there
John Lee is gone too...good music too!
Mushy - Yup, JLH totally rocked. Many a good one done gone.
JLH totally rocks. I think heels are too high when a gal has to bend her knees to walk.
Joe Allen - Totally spot on.
It was a more innocent time...now she'd have to put the high heels somewhere, unfortunately.

6" platfforms? Wow, I'm impressed.
Oh geez...my grandparents had that exact same loveseat. Now my brother has it in his living room.
I'm not ever going to be able to look at it in the same way again.
Regards,
Rabbit.
I couldn't wear those without falling over but she looks like she was born in them.
GREAT music to go with.
Aww shucks. :-( She sure lit up the life of a lot of little boys at a certain agte - and many big boys who were never got over being little boys...
