I can't handle the spicy.

Wow. I had no idea how spicy I usually am in the custom of eating. Today At Vindu with aepilot_jim, I took a modest selection food from the buffet and i could hardly eat any of it. The roof of my mouth and the incision areas were screaming from all the hot peppers. Fortunately, there is at least kheer, which is sweet, mild and requires no chewing.

Looks like I need to rebuild my tolerance for iocaine powder.

Not meaning to be critical, but if it's painful enough to damage your mouth, what's to prevent the same damage in your digestive tract?

OUCH!! Sorry to hear you can't eat the best thing since pizza. Hopefully you are healed soon so you can get your Spice on.

"Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!"

Being Sicilian, I found that line to be a good giggle from a very loved movie... ;)

Here's to the continued healing, and in another few months... wasabi!

Yep, you're gonna have to rebuild the 'tolerance'... Glad you're getting out a bit though!

Jess: the problem with my mouth is healing tissue, I believe. As for the rest, I subject everything I eat to an acid bath in my stomach. I generally do okay and am untroubled by things like indigestion, so I guess I'll be okay. I'll just be waiting for the healing tissue in my mouth to get back to normal.

Being able to work in a Princess Bride reference is a sign of healing. Hope you can get back to your favorite foods soon, without needing Miracle Max's help! :-)
