Thanks for all the nice comments about grandpa's guitar-playing. Several folks asked for more, so...

This is about 4 minutes, and the first part is The Bells of St. Mary's and ends with Washington Square. WS is a jaunty tune that might actually be tied with Sweet Bunch of Daisies as my favorite tune that Grandpa would play. I hope you like these, too.

Excellent! And like all your other admirers, Phleghmmy, I'd like more! Please?

Listening to your Grandpa brought something to mind. The Library of Congress and the Smithsonian have this joint project going called Save Our Sounds. There are lots of people and charities hitting us up for money these days (me included), but I think this SOS thingie is something special. YMMV.

Oh, oh my, can I adopt your grandpa? All mine were long gone before I came along. This was such a rush to watch his still photo as I listened to his music!

lainy - glad you liked it. Many a cup of coffee has been enjoyed to that music live, including by grandpa, who was a big time coffee drinker

myron - high praise from a man of your good taste in music

james - I'm honored you think so

buck - you're right - this would be good material for that project, actually. I'll check into it. Thanks for listening.

mushy - again, from you this is a tremendous compliment, and I thank you.

christina - he was absolutely golden.

atavist - Thank you for listening, and you are welcome.

lin - Consider yourself his honorary grandpa - he was a big-tent kind of grandpa, and doted on ALL the grandbabies.
