Saw this at a friend's house on Wednesday and I'm besotted. I thought - oh! I'll just pop over to ebay and see if I can pick one up. I really love the little glittery butt, too. Super cute, sez I.
So, over on ebay? Yup: $295. Srsly. Guess I'll have to admire it from afar!

Not quite the same, but she may have others. Just trying to help you spend money and stimulate the economy.
I had a great-aunt and uncle who had several pieces in that series in their bathroom. I suppose they probably date from the late 1940's to early 1950's as that's when they set up housekeeping in their University Park bungalow. Thanks for the memory prompt of my Aunt 'Vern and Uncle Charlie. Her personality was just like that.
Actually, that particular mermaid and the other 2 plus the ceramic "bubbles" in that particular bathroom were hand-made by my grandmother. She had a lot of artisitic endeavors. Remind me to show you the "moonshiner" lamps sometime.
