Three weeks ago, West Dallas business owner James Walton shot and killed an intruder in his machine shop. You'd think word would get around that Mr. Walton has a zero tolerance policy on being victimized.
Not so.
Sunday morning, less than 3 weeks after he killed the previous intruder, Mr. Walton shot and killed another intruder. I think Mr. Walton deserves some kind of award, frankly. I hope he picks off a few more losers, since word is not getting around that, um, like, breaking into peoples' homes or businesses is, um, wrong. I'm all for bringing the message to criminals in whatever language they understand.
Hats off to Mr. Walton for significant contributions to de-scumming the streets of Dallas.

Absolutely! And a big Denis Leary "Shut the Fu-- Up!" to his neighbors I heard on the news last night moaning about how it was overreacting to shoot a burglar. No, it is an entirely appropriate reaction to shoot a burglar, most are drug abusers looking to get stuff to pawn to buy another fix. They are unpredictable and can be violent. Blast away.
You'd think that could be a deterrant for any thief trying to break into a business where owners are legally allowed to shoot their asses.
The neighbors probably facilitated break-ins in the past, or were waiting for the dust to settle before coming in for a follow-up run.
Next time I'm on that side of town I should drop by with a box of shotgun shells for Mr. Walton. He's performing a valuable public service, much like my modest proposal of shooting and robbing drug dealers.
The downside is that he could be construed as hunting over a baited field.
Myself, I'm lazy. I'd just click the Claymores so I didn't have to get up to aim.

holly - you said it, honey!
becky - you would think so, but I'm all for just cutting down on crime by the most straightforward method of attrition
rabbit - you're such a badass! Yup, I thought the same thing, that the whining neighbors were a little overly-sympathetic to the dead bastards. I think that's a brilliant idea. Bless him.
Whoops!!!
Price you pay for making another BAD CHOICE!!! Mr. Walton is part of the solution, I'd say. There are too many of these losers sucking good air and consuming valuable resources, not to mention the 3 hots and a cot club. All at the taxpayers expense.Bullets be so much cheepah!!!!!
you're preaching to the choir, schnoobie! I agree - people who could justify stealing and destroying the livelihoods of other people are irredeemable, in my opinion. They are a toxin to our society, and I'm ok with cutting them away as you would a cancer. They serve no positive function.
Gotta love him all right - just hope he doesn't lose a suit to the useless tits' genetically or legally related affiliations. That would really suck.
lin - not to take things for granted or anything, but he IS in Texas, and I'd say odds are good he won't see the inside of a courtroom over this. Although, even in self-defense, it does look bad killing two intruders in such a short space of time, but I wouldn't be surprised if the bad guys were laying for him, and if (as someone here mentioned) possibly some of the whiner neighbors were acting in collusion with the robbers. Good for him, and God bless 'im.
My new hero!
What idiots, too (neighbors and would-be burglars!).
I hope some asshole criminals don't take it into their teeny-weeny heads to retaliate...
Love it. Congrats to him. We should find out what he uses and send him extra rounds.
Ahhh, God Bless Texas!
Remember -- since September 1 of this year in the Great State of Texas, if a Grand Jury reuses to indict Mr. Walton, then Mr. Walton is immune from civil liability.
fhb - Me too - it's a great day. I just heard on the news that someone shot and killed someone who broke into their home in the wee hours this morning in Dallas. One more down... Everybody wins.
kevin - I'm loving it more every day.
lawdog - I'm calling that a beautiful thing, and I'll be praying that the law stays on Mr. Walton's side, as it should.

Channel 4's Rebecca Aguilar does a hatchet job on James Walton and (surprisingly) gets suspended. With video.
Absolutely reprehensible.

rabbit - stupid bitch needs her clock cleaned. I'll bet Channel 4's phone lines have been lit solid ever since she did that. She clearly needs to be run out of town on a rail.
