Last week after it dawned on me that there might be descendents of my Valentine running around the planet, I did a bit of sleuthing and found the breeder whence I acquired the doglet. She owned the dog who sired Miss V's pups, and she kept MY pick of the litter as stud fee. Well, apparently, she bred doglet's pup.

She's double-checking the pedigree on a puppy she has now, and if it's a direct descendant of my dog, I may be making a trip to nor'east Texas this weekend to make her acquaintance. I wasn't going to get another dog this soon, but if there's a chance to have a great-great-great-great grandpuppy of the bunnydog, well, I'm up for it.

I don't know whether to ask you to keep your fingers crossed that it is or isn't descended of her. I'll let you know when I have news.

That would be nice if you could find one of Valentine's descendants.

I've got my fingers crossed that it all turns out the way you WANT it to. I think Valentine's great-great-great-great grandpuppy would be a very good thing for you, Phlegmmy.

lainy - I'm scared and excited!

turk - it may be the cure for what ails me

myron - i've seen her picture and at the very least, they have some common bloodline - no word on the pedigree yet, though...

fhb - like i said - excited and nervous. sort of surreal and momentous and unbelievable feeling

buck - I think you're right - hair of the dog and whatnot. The cure for what ails me.

thud - There ain't nothing like a pup.

christina - Thanks, honey! Tomorrow will tell!

Ummm... I didn't know until recently that Doglet had another name. But you must be preoccupied with Praline to notice that.
