Um, if the bones of this sea-monster they've found may be 150 million years old, why do they keep calling it a "new" species?

Hunh?

"New package - Same great taste!"
As long as it's not a six-foot cockroach, I don't care what they call it.

Why did the Europeans call the Americas the "New World"?

Why did GHWB call it the "New World Order"?

Why is Tide "New and Improved!"?

They're finding cold-blooded reptiles from a 150-million years ago...up in Norway? It's climate change!

"a new species never before recorded by science, researchers said..."

It's like when someone asks me how Columbus could have "discovered" America when folks were already here. Well, first, it wasn't America yet, and aside from the natives who were clueless about where they were in the world, nobody in the rest of the world knew it was there. Like discovering a new Chinese place on the other side of town.
