...but sometimes lately I can smell them. Thanks for the well wishes to Texans you other folks have been sending. The parched landscape here is as good as kindling. I hope we get some proper rain soon, but for now, at least, it's cooled off a bit.
I thought of you when I heard about the terrible fire situation, of course. I'm so glad you are safe' my heart goes out to those who have lost so much.

I remember a few years back smoke from Wildfires in Canada got caught in just the right jet stream and we could smell them in our neck of the woods.
