Just going to start wearing them a little here and there gradually around the house to get my arches and calves acclimated to the different way of walking. I'm really excited. :)
Jelliss!!!! :) I'd love to get some FiveFingers. Unfortunately, my feet are different sizes, and I can't afford to buy two pairs to accommodate each foot's length. *sigh*
Is it very different from walking around barefoot?
Thank-you Roberta, I didn't know that's what it's called - so do I. Must be how I broke my toe climbing around on the ladder, grasping with the wrong foot-hand appendage. I wanted those for a while, but just go barefoot instead.
Yes, keep us updated on these. I've tried them on in the store, but my toes are really too long for the 'standard model' also. That's why I generally prefer to wear Tevas 9 months of the year, or, like now, kick them off and go barefoot.
On the other paw, it's handy to be able to grasp and retrieve objects with all four appendages.
A.) Pedal Lycanthrophy..... Somehow I picture a really hairy dude on ten-speed.
B.) Roberta is a Lycanthrope? And Tam has to know... I can only assume she's earned a PUFF exemption. Either that or Tam is a collaborator and one gets the feeling that that isn't a comment one makes within rifle range.
I got mine about a month ago, and have worn them for everything but work since. They're unbelievably comfortable. And as a bonus, they make me feel more stable when shooting.
Roberta, I have the same problem, though just with my index-toes. Shopkeeper sized my feet based on Freaky Monkey Toe, and I ended up settling on the next size down from that. My big toe is _slightly_ too short, and index toe doesn't go completely straight, but after the first day I didn't notice it any more.

I love my Vibrams. They're the most comfortable shoes I own.

Sooooo jealous! I srsly hope it goes well for you.
I love 'em but I have pedal lycanthropy: my index and middle toes are longer than my big toe. :(
Hope you don't get 1st metatarsal pains or plantar fasciitis! :-)

I have the KomodoSports, and I absolutely adore them. I've also started running in them as well...
