Valentine's Day is coming...

Not everyone goes for the big splash-out on Valentine's Day, but here's an adorable necklace for just under $200.

Folks who know me will recognize this is remarkably similar to a necklace I wear quite a bit. Mine is the brown diamonds with a row of white on the top of the drop. Praline got me that when she was just a wee puppy. She was not yet wise in the ways of shopping, or she would have gotten me the earrings, too. Anyhoo. Quite smart, indeed, and it was very dear of her to treat her mommy. It's pretty and unusual yet not too-too flash. I get compliments on it all the time.

Then again, if your gal is my kind of gal, on Valentine's Day, daub a little Hoppe's 9 behind your ears and present her with a nice little Colt's Python. She'll love you for it.

The better half has been making hints about wanting a 9mm auto pistol.

Last night she said "Nothing says 'I love you' like a Glock for Valentine's Day!"

Wish I'd known that before I ordered the flowers...

Insert Valentine's Day python joke here.

Okay, Alan -
Not specifically a V-Day thing, but . . .
I'm generally opposed to giving human names to firearms - - If you call an inanimate object by name, the next step is granting that it may have some will of its own. For all the Colts I've had over the decades, I've never once personally owned a Python. I believe it may have been because I feared I would have HAD to name it Monty.

Why do I feel I hear a *hint**hint* somewhere in that post?

I never celebrated St. V's Day, but was quite touched when my Calmer Half decided he'd skip the guessing games and overt gestures, and just ask me what I want. :-)

Too bad, I don't have anyone to buy for this year...otherwise she would have gotten either a SIG P228 or a CZ75 Compact...

JPG FTW...

And Phlegmmy, believe me, nothing would please me more than shelling out the $1200 - $1500 that a Python commands in these parts to give to the Missus...

I know it's not the same, but I did see a splendid little Model 19-5, nickeled, with a 3 inch barrel last weekend that can be had. I'll keep you up to date on any Pythons I come across. I did also see a nice 15-3 with target sights.

Hugs,
Rabbit.

What your first commenter said.
I've never met a LITTLE Colt Python.
Hope you get one though!
