Well, actually, I won't bother digging around for details, but I'm waiting for the MSM to be as cruel and derisive to Al Gore's son as they were to Rush Limbaugh when his little drug issue was made public. Seems to me there's a lot more sympathy, this go-round.

I think Rush Limbaugh is a brilliant entertainer. I admit he occasionally says things that make me cringe, but I find him extremely like-able (if that's a word?). I thought the cruelty with which his prescription drug addiction was treated was immaculately bull-shitty. Especially considering all the sympathetic hand-wringing that accompanied the deaths of people like a couple drug addicts like Chris Farley, John Belushi, um, pretty much any old dirtbag can get a sympathetic nod from the MSM, but not Rush.

Double standard. And the MSM wonder why we dig around the web for our own news these days. They are so obviously biased and therefore not credible. Hypocrites.

Now, if Rush had been injecting meth into his eyeball, listening to audio books by Michael Moore while speeding in a Prius with a Donkey bumper sticker, he'd a been alright in their book.

Meh. Have a great weekend. I will.

Whatever will you do with yourself during all that free time?

I too listen to Rush and Bortz and cringe when I find myself agreeing, so maybe I really am that conservative.

And remember how the Bush twins were front and center for under-age alcohol consumption and clubbing? Where's the outrage? Oh, that's right. Soon to be doctor algore is the world's savior now. Damn, I keep forgetting how lucky we are to have him and his sycophants working to save our planet. And did you hear about the algore light bulbs being a hazardous waste problem? Didn't think so.

mushy - Actually, this will sound nutty, but I think I'm going to clean the house.
Yeah, you might be conservative, just a tetch.

myron - Yeah, I forgot about that thing with the Bush twins. *annoying* Yeah, those ligthbulbs are an environmental hazard. I say follow the money - someone high in the green lobby is poised to make a shitload on those environment-raping products. That's an even worse hypocrisy. *disgust*

I love to listen some times, but it's a guilty pleasure. And the MSM is so hypocritical about so much, and has been for so long, I hardly give them any attention any more. My favorite is Mark Davis on WBAP in the morning. I don't think he can be beat.

I give old Rush a whole lot of credit for my current POV and my inability to be hoodwinked by the mainstream media. I admit I kind of outgrew him by college, but I listened to him in high school and read both his books. He wasn't a bible thumper, which greatly appealed to me. I look at him as the Godfather of the GenX conservative/libertarian politicos.

His addiction to Oxycontin was a tragedy. He had a debilitating ailment and was prescribed that horrid drug.

He should have gone to a chiropractor.

fathairybastard - you've gotta read that link up above that I found at Zelda's - the MSM are the most guilty of hubris in our society - their role used to be that they went out and found the story. Now they think they are right about everything and that they know everything - they claim omniscience - what an arrogant pack of asses!

Kelly - I know better than to hold my breath!

zelda - Rush is a marvelous entertainer - and they were damned nasty to him when he had that problem. Yup, chiropractors rule, eh?

Couldn't agree more, ma'am. Conservatives DO NOT get a pass from the MSM like liberals do. And they wonder why we think they're biased?
