detail medic - "mischief managed" is a great catch-all for the tidy-up of unpleasantness. I like Harry Potter - the books are excellent. The films do a good job, but there is getting to be so much detail that has to be glossed over, that I think the remaining films must necessarily disappoint in some ways.
barbara - I haven't seen Shaun of the Dead, but I know I'll think it's funny. Zombie movies are yucky, though, even if they are ridiculous
tickersoid - youngest? I just thought you had one daughter. I generally think a film is very good if the reviewers hate it - what do they know?

It's almost as funny as Blazing Saddles.
I know that I shall be forever comparing this to Shaun of the Dead, but there is room in my heart for both of them.
I saw this with my youngest little Miss. We both thought it was brilliant. Funny it didn't get good reviews.
