True story: man uses handgun to free 3 children from submerged car

Odd situation, but nice to see a news story featuring an example of a firearm being used in the rescue of 3 young children. :)

I'm not trying to judge the driver of the vehicle, but I would not have left the car without securing my children and/or my puppies first. If that meant my own death, then so be it. Very odd, indeed. I could not have lived with myself otherwise had any of them died.

I'm with you on that. I could not have left the car either. But awesome story about the passers by pulling together to save those kids.

Good people doing the right thing! And yeah, can't understand how he'd leave his kids...

When you are in the process of drowning, you will do anything to get air. Anything.

Rescuing a drown person without training is very dangerous. The person you are rescuing WILL grab you, pull you under, and climb on top of you to get air.
