Unctuous American

Patrick Swayze was hilarious as a seedy American golf instructor in Rowan Atkinson's Keeping Mum.

You know someone is an icon of cinema when they are treated reverentially in Hot Fuzz.

Then there was Road House: a tough bouncer is hired to tame a dirty bar.

He had a pretty good run of it, I think.

Met him once. He was friendly, casually natural, and much more handsome in person. I think he was a beautiful man, inside and out.
And, those are the people we lose too soon.

Don't forget MST3K's "A Patrick Swayze Christmas".

"I've never heard of an action sequence in a Christmas carol before."

Sorry 'bout that. Was publishing comments from me cell phone and hit the wrong button.]

And he was in Red Dawn, a movie I still haven't yet seen.
