Levi Strauss' product...

once was manufactured with a crotch rivet. Apparently the rivets were phased out of the design in an effort during WWII to save copper, rather than the persistently-rumoured unpleasant campfire effect.

Rivet or no, Holly told me Levi Strauss is anti second amendment. I suppose I won't be buying Levi's, rivet or no.

What? How are they anti-2A?

I've worn 501s my entire adult life, and that's something like 45 years. I'd have to see several pictures, taken from different angles, of their entire management team pissing on the flag (or something like it) to abandon Levis now. I'm generally not big on brand loyalty, but I most certainly AM when it comes to 501s.

My jeans come in two flavors... Wrangler, and Cheap.

For "I know I'm gonna tear em up anyway" work jeans, I tend to buy whatever is cheap at El Marto Del Wal at that moment.

Levi-Strauss has been donating to organizations like PAX for years. They are currently blacklisted by the NRA.

I have one pair of Levis left from five years ago. I did buy some dockers the other day, because they were on clearance and I paid $4 a pair for them, plus I bought them from my Pro-2nd Amendment employer. If you need jeans, buy Wrangler, they are supporters of the shooting sports, for instance, http://www.cmsaevents.com/links.cfm.

Plus, Wranglers are cheaper and made at just about the same quality as Levi.

I buy Smith's 1906 jeans from Modell's at $25 for 2-pairs. I know they're not made here, but then again, neither are Levis anymore, but I'll be damned if I'm going to shell out $40 to $50 on a pair of jeans.

I loved Levi's when I was young, wouldn't wear them now. What was American about them is no longer.

Wranglers or super cheap Kohl's Jean Sale Surprise for me.

Haven't worn Levis in about a decade because of their anti-gun position.

Sam's Club private label now suffices, for those three occasions a year when I feel like wearing jeans.

Who needs jeans when you got BDU's? :-)
Jeans are hot and drag on your skin slowing your movement, locking sweat and perspiration on you. They don't protect against road-rash but for about two feet of skid, and if they get wet they're a cold-magnet and double in weight making a good drowning vehicle.
They might have been state-of-the-art around 1849 campfires and on horseback, and inspire 60's nostalgia among the brainless goober-boomers, but they're not so hot any longer.
