In the news from Tribble Ad Agency:

Massive Surge in traffic for keyword “antichrist” since Obama victory November 5, 2008 According to Google Trends, and a first hand account by having access to the log files for a site on page one in Google for the term, a disturbing massive surge in traffic for the keyword “antichrist” is being reported.

When we mean massive, we are saying in order of 10’s of thousands of individuals in the past 24 hours have been coming in under that term, and a fair percentage of it has been hitting the parody site Anti-Christ.Com … to the tune of a wordpress record of 1,500 real comments on a single wordpress post.

Take it for what it’s worth but this is a problem that we have never seen in politics to this extent before.

I'm offended. Why would anyone associate Obama with the Antichrist. I don't get it. Someone splain me.

Probably some TV preacher told them so.

g bro - You don't think it's funny? Whatever side of the aisle I was from, I'd still find that amusing.

You need splainin'? Really? I have two such comments lurking on my site, both of whom were dead serious. I was incredulous, at first. But then again, I'm not particularly religious, so whatta I know?

Simple, m'dear.
Millions have bought into a big bag of empty, whose past is somewhat of a mystery. Others don't trust and maybe a touch gullible, though probably not quite so as the masses who voted for the Teleprompter Messiah are now beginning to dig.

No. Maybe it was to abstract for me to get. Unless the point is that 10's of 1000's think Obama is the Anti-Christ, which I would feel is frightening rather than funny. Taking things too seriously these days, I guess.

Oh there are many people who think he's the for real anti-Christ. But they're basing it on prophesy which Obama fits rather eerily, although (naturally) not perfectly.

I don't know what the anti-Christ is exactly. Nietzsche spoke about the death of God, welcoming it, but cautioning that we would set up other gods in His place to stave off nihilism, which Nietzsche also seemed to welcome.

I think Obama represents the post-modern wing of liberalism, which has ceased to be liberalism by any classic definition. Can we learn nothing from Europe?

But I digress. Obama strikes me as "anti-Christ" firstly, because he is arrogant, but secondly because he seems to embody all the characteristics of one of Nietzsche's Ubermensch. "Man must be overcome," said Nietzsche. And there is no better way to overcome lowly man than to herd them all onto some government plantation of redistributed wealth.

FWIW, I think it's hilarious.

Just goes to show how many people don't know their Bible - the anti-Christ won't come from here.

But then again, was it ever settled exactly where Obama is really from?

Ermmm ... isn't the anti-christ supposed to fool everyone into thinking he's a great guy?

Obambi only snookered 52%.
