The lady who had a baby at the age of 63 says 63 is really the latest you should wait to have a child - that the pregnant 66 year old is clearly too old.
Rosanna says: “I heard about this case and obviously this woman has her reasons but I think 66 is too old – 63 is as late as you should leave it.
Um, at the age of 63, Rosanna was already older than most of her child's contemporaries' grandparents, so I really think she has no room to criticize. Of course, it's a person's private business what they do, and in age of Octomom (please don't litter?), we're all in the business of saying what other people ought to do. I'm just saying if you're 63 new mum and criticizing someone for embarking upon motherhood at 66, well, you really need to STFU.

And then you wonder if this person really should be reproducing in the first place....
(Hope this means you're feeling better!)
New arrival in my household today...hats off to anyone who becomes a parent...I'm tired already.
And I thought my friend, K, was nuts to have her first child at 40. Now, I am through w/menopause and child rearing and she has a teenage son. SHUDDER.
But 63 and criticizing a 66 y.o. for being preggers...STFU indeed!
The purpose of menopause is to see to it that the parents have enough time to get the last sprog to adulthood.
Could you imagine having to deal with a senile parent in your teens?
WFTO??? 60's? Howinhell do they expect to care for a child, much less a teen?
Kristoper--
When I was a teen, I was convinced my parents were senile.
And am I repeating An Old Wive's Tale here about how much more likely a child is to have all sorts of complications if Mom is past 40?
My son (34) and d-i-l(not sayin') can barely keep up with my 5- and 3-year Asperger's Syndrome grandsons; I can't imagine how to do it at 63 or 66.
*flabbergasted*
WTF?! STFU indeed.
Miz Minka said it all.
The audacity of some never ceases to amaze.
Please don't litter? Priceless:)
