Chuy always thinks I should go to bed earlier than I do. Praline, too, for that matter. They get seriously grumpy if I stay up late doing things around the house, making noises. Their little clocks want them to shut down about 10:00 PM. That's really saying something, considering they sleep about 80% of the day, as far as I can tell. But of course, they are perfect as they are.
Sunday is strip both beds and do laundry day. Barkley disappeared. I found him all cuddled up in fleece mattress protector (which I use to keep, uh, dog hair, off of my mattress).
ReplyDeleteThat's the "woe is me" sleep. It's as if they're trying to cover their ears to let you know "enough is enough".
ReplyDeleteSO does our Jack Russell....If my son does not go to bed by 10pm, he gets a little grumpy(the Dog).
ReplyDeleteIf you tell Jak to go to bed he heads for the kid's bedroom and into his kennel...
Yep, that's the I'm done with you pose :-)
ReplyDeleteOnly 80%? Why, the puppehs are veritable insomniacs compared to my 23.5 hour per day sleeping cat.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is he on his little animal print bed...or is it yours?
ReplyDeleteMy Gracie doesn't care particularly what time I go to sleep--but she insists I get up before 7 am. (After all, SHE can nap during the day!) Sometimes she sleeps in her sumptuous bed but more often it is on the hardwood floor under my bed. I suspect that's so she can tell if I get up at night!
