Phlegmmy, at $705. I myself would go Rossi or Howa. My Marlin 1895 in 45-70 didn't go that high, definitely a must have for the zombie apocolypse. I'm still kicking myself for not buying the Cabelas Millenium Revolver for 199.99 in 1999.
Buddy James just got his Big Boy in .44 Magnum. Heavy frame just soaks up the recoil. And the sights are good enough for my double-nickle eyes to keep it in the black at 50 yds.
It's shiny, and pretty, but I like the performance of the Winchester M94s and 1892s in the same caliber, for that price or less. (well, they're not made anymore, but they're thick on the ground used.)
The Rossis are proven performers, too, and great value.
Nothing wrong with eye candy, but I gather that you're a levergun enthusiast, and you have a Browning lever .22, which mirrors the Winchester offerings.
I heartily endorse this decision. That is one drop-dead sexxeh lever gun.

I was just out shooting a Navy Arms 1866 (Yellow Boy) in .38 last night - fun, fun, fun rifles!!!

ReplyDeleteAnd if you get one in .45 Colt then you'll have to get an Anaconda in .45 Colt to keep it company.
