Can there be any lovelier combination of two words than SHALL and ISSUE???

I think not.

Thursday the info site flipped over from "processing application" to "license issued or certificate active."

Pleased.

Yes. I'm quite pleased.

  6. Congratulations!

Instead of the traditional armed first trip to WalMart - you may substitute a trip to the thrift store of your choice!

If they sell nachos there too, however, I would recommend against.

  15. The only thing better than "shall issue" is no permit neeeded, as in Alaska and Vermont

  16. Congratulations!

What is your chosen firearm for carry?

Does Texas make you know that ahead of time and put in on your license or do you have free choice like we do in Ohio?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

  18. Congrats. We should have had a toast!

Just remember: even in town- at your stylish apartment, for instance, you can always shoot ONCE.

My daughter wants to take the carry class when she turns 21 in a couple of months. Having the means of self defense is empowering in ways that lefty-feminist cant will never be.

Actually, I prefer 3 words. No permit required.

  22. Congrats! Now the excruciating wait for it to arrive!

Buckshot: no. We don't do gun registration in Texas. You can carry whatever you want, or as many as you want - as long as they remain concealed. :)
