Google reacted to the Japanese earthquake by creating a personal finder tool. Good on them. I know the greatest anxiety of such an event is wondering if one's dear ones are safe.
We have family in Hilo, so it's been kind of a tense day for us. Thankfully, the islands haven't seen huge tsunami waves hit there, and our family is safe. My husband watched some footage, and (having lived there for 3 years himself, moons ago), commented about how freaky it was to watch the ocean waters pull back hundreds of feet, past the coral reefs, as a part of the tsunami(s) hitting Japan.
Terrifying.
ReplyDeleteJust watched some video of the tsunami...horrible!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be an ongoing issue for a while...
ReplyDeleteVery cool.
