how flat an armadillo can get?
I saw this from a distance and from a distance it looked like a very long snake was wadded up in the middle with the tail sticking out, and then up close, I was impressed by how very non-vertical this critter had become. It looks as though it rolled over on its back to have its belly scratched, then went all flat.
It's kind of facehugger-esque, innit?
My dog will drag a dead armadillo into my yard every now and then. I haven't quite figured out why, since there's no sign of her eating the critter, or the stench of when a dog rolls in something dead. Maybe she's "decorating" and finds them pleasing. Whatever the reason, I have to dispose of the partially liquid remains, while gagging during the entire process. My dog wags her tail during the procedure and is obviously proud.
