Wow - did you know there are 412 Ghost Towns in Texas?

I didn't. Neat stuff!

This is a great site in general with lots of adventure stuff to discover in our own back yards -- for those of us who live here.

I don't know about you, but Bug Tussle is on my short list of day-trip places to check out in North Texas.

Click here to check it out!

  7. That is two hours of my life I'm not going to get back. But it was worth it. There are two towns I'm going to find. Juliff and Gulf Prarie, TX. Maybe I'll take my mom. She loves this shit too.

  11. No we don't, not enough real estate. I've only ever seen them in the movies. Didn't know they still existed and so many.

  12. All that has to happen is the Rail Road or highway bypasses some little town. Next thing you know people move away and the place dies. Happens a lot.

  13. Bugtussle is nothing more than an old gas station now.
It was down the road from my dad's ranch, so I'm very familar with it.

  14. So many train stops that ceased to be needed. So many watering holes gone bad. Hey, ever been to Cookietown? Population 8, last I was there anyway.
