That's scary dry.
LittleRed1Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3786818.post-24639298649357134802011-08-03T21:15:42.870-05:002011-08-03T21:15:42.870-05:00Same up in OK; we've had some spots of rain, b...Same up in OK; we've had some spots of rain, but not enough to really help. This all started up here last month with days of hot, drying wind, and then the rain completely turned off(except for those bits). I've managed to keep my tomatoes and peppers alive, but that's it; not producing anything.

Hell, it's even killed my blackberries, and that takes some doing.Firehandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04562365951182027709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3786818.post-75359360545226323962011-08-02T14:13:05.607-05:002011-08-02T14:13:05.607-05:00New garden = Cactus, just sayin...New garden = Cactus, just sayin...Old NFOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16404197287935017147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3786818.post-67296520949487757892011-08-02T07:56:42.187-05:002011-08-02T07:56:42.187-05:00It's been hot and dry here as well. So there will be plenty of pickles again this year.Farmmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03226384244084630509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3786818.post-41850653283954436572011-08-02T03:59:43.859-05:002011-08-02T03:59:43.859-05:00It's been much the same at our place in Fort W...It's been much the same at our place in Fort Worth. Only Desi's relentless hand watering has kept our patch of green, well, green.

In the meantime, I've been enjoying highs in the upper 70s and a fair amount of rain up north.DanielShttp://www.AmongTheLeaves.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3786818.post-2956035710145954322011-08-02T03:19:29.809-05:002011-08-02T03:19:29.809-05:00Sorry to hear about the drought. Most things survived in my garden because I've planted Aussie Natives which (once established) thrive on hot dry weather. Not sure if you can source any in your part of the world (and there's probably restrictions on sending seeds) but if you can, look out for them because there's some really, really beautiful and hardy ones.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06506274310934059070noreply@blogger.com
