WARNING TO MY DAD: Please don't watch this video - I want you to have a happy life. Having seen it myself, my own life is tainted forever. It's not too late for you. Save yourself.

Some other folks have posted their "worst video ever" entries.

I don't know if I'd call The Stroke by Billy Squier the worst, but I will call it cringe-worthy, which, of course, sends me into transports of delight. Is it the way Billy sports his moose knuckle? Is it the skin-crawling lyrics? Is it the groin-centric photography? Maybe it's both three.

What's funny is that now I'm getting the urge to work up a karaoke version of this little gem. Look out, hapless bar patrons: The Stroke is coming to a venue near you. Run for your lives!

In the early 80s, Mom wouldn't allow me to have MTV. I looked up this video last weekend and I have to say that now, 25 years later, I realize she was protecting me. Thanks Mom.

In closing, I have to say in defense of Billy Squier, I love Everybody Wants You.

I used to like this song when I was a kid. As time went on I stopped admitting that fact to people ;)

You think THIS is bad. Go back to YouTube and click in his hit Rock Me Tonight. THAT little thing is a gay explosion. What was he thinking? TOTALLY cringeworthy.

Geezus, do you even have a gay-dar? LOL

This was obvious like what--20+ years ago?

Not that it means anything---just LOVED his music, but puleeze. LOL

You need to watch Rock Me Tonite. It ended his career. I LOVE Billy Squier, and that's still the most painful video I've ever watched.

hammer - but there you go again, admitting it!

fathairybastard - OK - I watched Rock Me Tonite, and yeah, it's, um, *blush*, pretty bad, but except for ripping his own clothes off and writhing around on a satin-covered bed, I don't see him doing anything I didn't see Mick Jagger do a million times. Prancing like a tit. Still. Ew.

attila the mom - Yup, I'd say it's obvious. But I didn't see the video all those years ago. That's entertainment!

freak magnet - I watched it, and frankly, my soul is wounded!

This song should only be heard and not seen and you should be swaying back and forth on a pair of roller skates!

Dunno why, but lately I've been craving some Billy Squier... I have several of his LPs... never got around to replacing them on CD...
