Here's me, today, charging up the tollway, windows down, sunroof open, long curls flying medusa-like upward in the perfect afternoon air. The soundtrack: Split, the 1994 cd by Lush. Favorite tracks: 6 & 8. Good shit. I think the immaculate Robin Guthrie may have produced this one? I think I remember reading somewhere he said they were appropriately named as they drank a phenomenal amount. Cheers! New shoes arrived, sushi in half an hour, beautiful weather, perfect day. Giddy.

Wow, Ben, I bow to your superior knowledge! For years Spooky was my favorite, but in recent times, I listen to this one 10 times more often. Funny how that is, isn't it? Evolving musical tastes.

Their stuff is great - I love the tone clusters and inventive tonal progressions - very unexpected and delightful. Much more complex that typical pop crap. Wonderful jangly, airy guitars like I LOVE.

I didn't know about the suicide - I haven't read anything about them in over 10 years - tragic. I just always knew I loved them.

Didn't know what I felt like listening to this morning.

Now Gala is in the stereo.

Thanks for the inspiration. :)
